As of July 1, 2025, your deposits at banks, savings funds, and credit unions in Curaçao are protected by the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS). If a covered institution fails, the DGS automatically protects your money:
- Up to Cg 50,000 at banks and savings funds
- Up to Cg 25,000 at credit unions
The DGS is managed by the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS) and the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF). This factsheet provides the key details.
